Sequent Announces Leadership Transition to Co-CEO Structure

London, 1 July 2026

Sequent Group today announced the implementation of a planned leadership transition as part of its long-standing commitment to disciplined succession planning and the longevity of the Group.

As part of this transition, Richard Martin, Executive Chairman, will transfer his day-to-day executive management responsibilities to Jack North and Maxence Luethi, who will be appointed Co-Chief Executive Officers.

Jack and Maxence are being elevated from their current roles as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively. Their appointments reflect Sequent’s long-established philosophy of developing leadership from within—an approach that reinforces continuity, preserves culture and institutional memory, and mitigates operational risk.

“This transition represents a natural evolution of the firm’s leadership and reflects the strength and depth of our internal talent,” said Richard Martin, Executive Chairman. “It has been carefully planned over an extended period and is wholly aligned with our long-term objectives and our commitment to clients.”

The move does not signal any change in Sequent’s strategic direction, business priorities, or approach to risk. The Group will continue to operate with the same focus on high-quality client service, disciplined growth, and robust governance.

As Co-CEOs, Jack North and Maxence Luethi will operate within a clearly defined structure that delineates responsibilities across functions and geographies. Richard Martin will continue in his role as Chairman, remaining actively involved in strategic initiatives, supporting key client relationships, and providing ongoing guidance to the Group’s leadership team.

The firms’ client engagement teams remain unchanged. This leadership evolution is a display of Sequent’s commitment to longevity—ensuring that the firm remains well-positioned to serve clients’ interests over the long term.
